The NanoAir+ team Pedro, were born in porto , in a region known for its rich natural beauty. Growing up, he would often go on walks in the Royal National Park adjacent to Jack’s home, or swimming at the beach just a few minutes walk from the Honor brother’s house.
After growing up and travelling abroad to China, the team realised what they had previously taken for granted were natural gifts. The pristine air, ubiquity of flora and the sandy beaches were all part of Porto’s natural landscape and were truly exclusive to Porto. There was also something very distinct about the air in Porto, a subtle smell and a feel which was unlike anywhere they had been.
After further research, the team realised that the magic was in the trees. Porto native trees contained essential oils with special benefits that would permeate into the air, providing natural benefits to those breathing it in. With this new understanding, the AusAir team was formed, with a vision of bringing what is unique about Porto to the rest of the world. After many months of intense design and ideation, they managed to create a mask which was uniquely to Portugal, effectively filtering the air and unlocking the benefits of native Australian flora.
