The NanoAir+ team has been hard at work finalising the details of our mask. In December 2018 we received our first trial batch, tested the product and locked in the manufacturer. We are now crowdfunding our product on Indiegogo InDemand.

After the crowdfunding finishes, all products including replacement filters will be available on the website. Shipping will be free on orders over A$60, anything less will be calculated at checkout.

During the Indiegogo campaign, customers can request a refund within 10 days of their purchase. After the Indiegogo campaign, we will offer a 2-year limited warranty on all products.

Avoid storing the mask in humid areas or in direct sunlight. Each mask pack purchase comes with a carry bag, we recommend keeping the mask in the bag when not in use.

The filters can be left attached to the skin. To keep the filters hygienic, avoid removing extra filters from sealed packaging until needed.

The outer skin can be washed like an item of clothing. Machine wash using cold soapy water. The valves are made from aluminium and silicone, we recommend rinsing these by hand. We do not recommend washing the filters as this will affect filtration performance, rendering them ineffective.

Yes, you can hand or machine wash the carry bag.

How long the filter lasts for depends largely two factors:

1) The level of particulate matter being filtered, as this will clog the filter over time.

2) How many hours in the day you are using the filter, the more hours will mean the more particulate matter the filter collects.

For high levels of pollution and for over 3-6 hours of daily use, we have found our filters are effective for around 2 weeks.

There is no exact formula for how long the filter will last, however we recommend replacing the filter once breathing through the filter becomes increasingly difficult or the filter is visibly dirty for hygiene reasons.

Our masks have undergone preliminary testing and we are happy to say they have exceeded FFP2 testing in line with AS/NZS 1716 respiratory protection standards. Once we have begun manufacturing our mask, we will apply to gain full certification through independent lab testing.

Yes, our masks have undergone preliminary testing for Virus Filtration Efficiency (VFE) and Bacteria Filtration Efficiency (BFE).

The test evaluates the filtration efficiency of the filter media by replicating viruses that are in the 0.1 - 0.5 micron range. We are happy to say that testing has been shown to block over 97% of airborne viruses replicated.

Once we have begun manufacturing our mask, we will apply to gain full certification through independent lab testing and look to increase the effectiveness of the filtration.

For masks to be effective at preventing contagious airborne viruses and diseases, mask fit is absolutely critical. With multiple sizes, ergonomic design, memory foam and magic fit ear-loops our masks are designed to create a plush seal around facial contours.

Yes, our mask skins are machine washable. If your mask is soapy when it comes out of the wash, please rinse thoroughly to ensure all soapy mixture has been removed. Please dry your mask skin away from direct and only wear once fully dried. Do not use a drying machine.

No, washing your filter is not advised as this will damage the filtration efficiency. If your filter has makeup on the inside, we recommend wiping it down with a dry cloth. Do not apply liquids to the filter.

The mask touches the face on the underside of the chin and on the cheek close to the ear. If your beard is quite thick at these touch points then it may impact the the mask creating a seal around the contours of your face. If it's stubble or the beard is not thick at these touch points, it should still effectively seal providing full protection.

Early in the design phase, we received feedback to ensure that our masks were able to be worn with glasses. The reason why glasses tend to fog is because hot air is escaping toward the the nose area of the mask, which means the mask is is not fitting to your facial contours. We have a firm but flexible nose wire built into the filter to ensure that it is able to fit a wide range of facial contours. This prevents hot air from escaping and fogging up your glasses. We have also sourced special nose foam from Japan which aids in creating a firm seal on the bridge of the nose, preventing outward air leakage which can fog up glasses. Finally, our dual valve design allows for greater volumes of air to be released from the valves, and not near the top of the mask which causes glasses to fog.

The handling of the filters and skins, as well as during the assembly phase may involve latex. We also cannot guarantee that our masks will have no elements which contain latex. Those who have an allergic reaction to latex are advised to not purchase this product. We are sorry about this.
